clear interface down triggers after a certain amount of time.

when using the Template Module Interface Simple SNMPv2. The Interface link down trigger never clears when a specific interface is no longer being used, ie laptop is plugged into a switch for awhile and once its removed that interface triggers show up. Is there a way to have the event clear after a certain amount of time like 5 days. I would rather not manually clear it.
