Hello there,
I am a new Zabbix user and really like the software a lot! While still trying out how to configure everything in Zabbix the right way, I accidentally noticed a problem with one of the hosts that I had already set up test-wise (a computer running MacOS). It seems that the RAM gets eaten up over time up to the point that the host doesn't respond anymore for an hour or so after which it seems to automatically restart itself. It is a machine that is running 24/7, so it doesn't get restarted normally.
Now I am trying to solve this problem and I don't find a function that would really make it easier to keep an overview: I would like to set marks on the graphs of this host at certain moments with some info that I put in there. In my case it would be a description of what I changed (e.g. stopping a certain app). As the RAM only gets eaten up over the course of a couple of days – and also some things I can only try out during the weekends – it would really help to retrospectively understand what measure has had what impact.
I imagine this bookmark like a vertical line in a color that I can choose, displayed in every graph of this host at the time that I have chosen (so it would move to the left over time). The textual info could be on the right side of that line – but the actual look of this feature doesn't matter so much to me, I just don't get to find the feature at all.
Does a feature like this exist in Zabbix? I tried Google and the Forum search but didn't find anything – maybe because I used the wrong terms, not so sure how to call this feature.
Does anyone else have the need for this? Is it something that is already possible? I am on Zabbix 5.2.3
I look forward to your input!
Cheers from Germany!
