Question about Items

Hello everyone,

I'm french, first of all I want to apologize for my broken English
I discover Zabbix since few days, It's a very powerfull monitoring solution. I want to optimise it. I install the zabbix agent on few computer but I don't need all of the informations the zabbix agent give to me. In the interface of Zabbix, it's possible to desactivate the items one by one. Is this desactivation stop this item in the zabbix agent, and at the same time decrease the number of new values per second that my server receives or just hide it?
I hope that I'm understandable.

A deactivated item is not considered for processing and thus does not accept/collect any values.
Beside of disabling items you could also think of deleting them, e.g. when generally not needed at all.

looks like u are using templates for monitoring with a set of Items, but u can create only items u need to monitor, no need to add templates.
