RefreshActiveChecks vs Item Interval

Hello,

I am unsure about the RefreshActiveChecks, which I have by default at 60s in the config file of Zabbix.
I am currently using Active Agents exclusively, which actually works great. But let's take the item ICMP ping. If I set an interval of 30s, how does this cooperate with the RefreshActiveChecks? Would an update still only come in every 60s?

Can someone help me here?

RefreshActiveChecks defines how often agent checks for config from proxy/server. So, every minute it will ask "Is there any new things for me?".
Your ping item still works every 30s as instructed.
