    Windows Folder monitoring

    Dear Sir/Madam,

I am trying to monitor a Windows folder.
The folder is not allowed to contain any files, it should always be empty.
When a file is written in the folder it should create an alarm / trigger.

If there is no such trigger then maybe we could monitor folder size?
Let's say: if files containing in folder is greater then 1bytes then create alarm / trigger.

I am using Zabbix Server 2.2

    Friendly regards

    Pascal

    you can use:
vfs.file.size[file] -- Size of a given file. Size in bytes. File must have read permissions for user zabbix. Example: vfs.file.size[/var/log/syslog]

      Thank you for your reply,

      Can you be more specific?
The folder is empty and should always be empty.
It should only create a trigger when a file is written in the directory.

      To explain the whole situation.
We have a tool that process files, when one of these files is bad or faulty then the file is moved the error folder.

We need to know when there files in the error folder so we can take proper action.

      Ps, its a Windows 2008 R2 Server.

        sorry, thats dont work..

        you can use
        vfs.file.time[C:\path\to\folder]
and create a trigger with diff, so the trigger fires every time if something happen in the folder respectively when folder is modified

just for me, what program do you use? it sounds like healthcare?
