Read-only permissions to hosts and triggers configuration

I've tried to restrict permission in Zabbix, but ideally, I want some users to be able to see everything like super-admin, but without permission to change it.
Everything seems to be fine except these lines from documentations: An Admin level user with Read access to a host will not see the host in the configuration section host list; however, the host triggers will be accessible in IT service configuration.
I was unable to find this IT service configuration to check triggers expression and as I understand there is no way to give access to host configs as read-only?
    Any workarounds or advice?
    Thanks!

Version 5.2.3, all boxes for Admin user type are checked, but until I add Read-write permissions to some Host group I cannot see anything in Configuration>Hosts

Also, with such config, the user is unable to create any maintenance, cause no hosts or host groups are available in the list. Once I change user groups permission to Read-Write it appears in hosts and in the list for maintenance.

Can anyone advise? Isn't it strange that the user with the read permissions cannot read?
