    Manually clear an event?

    Hi,

I was wondering if there is any way to manually close an event, without acknowledging it.
I don't want to remove the item completely, just close the event and have it re-open if the issue persists... is there such a possibility in Zabbix?

Hello an event is createt on the trigger state, if the trigger is in "problem" so you have an event ... if this trigger is in "OK" state the event is closed...

i did modified the "trippers.php" an added one colum "reset trigger" that write to the db the state of trigger "OK" !

Yes, I'm aware of the state of the triggers. I guess my real question was whether it is possible to override a trigger state to "OK" manually.
Based on your answer I assume there is no built-in mechanism in Zabbix to do it?

        Hello MiniMizer,
        its logical question.

look one trigger is defined truth the expression, zabbix checks pereodicle is this expresion is valid, and push the trigger.

so if you manualy reset the trigger, after the next period zabbix checks again the extansion and will activete the trigger again!

I did this chack becouse i have "self-holded" triggers.

        Code:
        xxx & {TRIGGER.VALUE}=0 | {TRIGGER.VALUE}=1 xxx
so the trigger holds its self, and wen i check this i reset this over the gui.

otherwise it makes no sence to terset this maunaly becouse the next period
