    False High Bandwith usage alert

    Zabbix 5.2.1 on Ubuntu 20.04

    Im monitoring a cisco C9407R with

    192 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces
    64 Ten Gigabit Ethernet interfaces
    4 Forty Gigabit Ethernet interfaces

    So far everything works fine exept for the high bandwith usage trigger. As soon as traffic on a Ten GB interface exceed 900mbit i get a false High Bandwidth Usage Alert.
    Im using the Interfaces SNMP template to monitor the interfaces on the switch.

    1 GB and 40GB interfaces works fine the problem only seems to occure on 10GB interfaces and i have now idea how to fix it.
    Any advice would be appreciated

    I've been through this problem, I managed to solve it by editing the template alert. The Template usually uses the "AVG" function to calculate these items and return the error to you, and this generates the problem of the false positive.
    Try changing the "AVG" function to "MIN" and see if it solves your problem.

    Ex: avg(15m) ==> min(600);
    The value "600 reference a time in seconds.
