Monitoring downtime on a given server

Hello,

We're trying to log any downtime we might have on a given server, for that we have the idea to make it so we can add it as a graph item. How would we be able to do this?

We're running Zabbix 2.2.6 on Solaris 10.

I'm not at all familiar with Zabbix, so please bare with me.

You want to plot the duration of the downtime?

So, when a host shutdown down yesterday, the item would report something like '24h 10m'?
