    Zabbix -ServiceNow breakdown

    Hi All,

    We are running Zabbix 5.0.2 and is integrated with ServiceNow for auto-ticketing feature.

    But last few days the tickets were not created. When checked there was some connectivity issue from Zabbix to ServiceNow. Tickets were created when the issue got fixed.

    The concern here is we were not alerted by kind of mechanism which says that there is some Zabbix -ServiceNow breakdown.

    Is there a way we monitor the status of media types (servicenow) and say that if tickets are not created we get an email saying some outage. Kindly help.

    hi. there's always a way to monitor this. we do monitor, for sure, via an integration tool that we added for further convenience. let me explain it in a few words. we get information about the status of our connected systems + data regarding each operation that takes place. the tool sends notifications if there is an error in the connection between it and snow. the information is displayed in the ui so each of our team members can access it. due to a client request, we've also enabled the option to receive emails every time an error occurs - for better monitoring. each time an error occurs my colleagues receive an email about it.
