Stream (or periodically send) data to Hadoop?

Is there any way to setup Zabbix to send trending data to a system like Hadoop? What I'd like to do is keep Zabbix lean and mean and send everything to Hadoop for long term storage and querying (all events and metrics). Is this even possible?

no its not possible with zabbix .. but if you use postgresql you can use a FDW to connect it with Hadoop ..

but do you really need it?

you can also use you SQL-Database for long-term storage!
