Hosts disappearing from monitoring hosts view

Hi All, We installed Zabbix Agents on all of our Linux Servers yesterday and after checking the Hosts view under Monitoring there appeared 289 devices. But we came in this morning and there are only 187 devices showing in the hosts view. Where did the other devices go that aren't showing?

    TIA

Is it possible that those were dhcp leases that timed out?

Hi James, That wouldn't be it for us we don't use dhcp on the Linux servers. If a device has an agent installed on it and that device registers with the console. The the same device then loses contact with the console after showing up as connected, then usually there should be some type of lost connection alarm but the device doesn't just remove itself from the inventory right? Are there any circumstances where devices are just automatically removed? If so is it logged anywhere , where we can see whats occurring?

I was thinking more along the lines of the Devices, not the Server(s). Of course, I am guessing without knowing more about your setup and use. I always look at the simple side of diagnostics before looking deeper.
