Unable to edit zabbix config file

I'm new to centos and I am trying to edit the zabbix config file but no matter what I do, it says command not found.

I've researched some and all the screenshots show running the commands as root@localhost but mine says root@applicance. Could this be causing the issue?

See I don't even get an error. I'm connected to my virtual machine running centos and all I get is [root@appliance ~]# . I can't even figure out how to get to /etc/zabbix/zabbix_agentd.conf

Yes. I am just connecting to our virtual machine that has the centos running and I have no clue how to edit the config file from there. i've googled for days and haven't found how to actually edit it from the centos screen where it says root@appliance.

I think you first need to learn how to use an editor on Linux. Start by understanding how to use an editor such as vi or nano with a Linux beginner's book.

This is not really a Zabbix question..
root@localhost vs root@appliance... no, this is not your issue.
You did not mention what commands you are trying to use...
just "vi /etc/zabbix/zabbix_agentd.comf" should give you editing options... just need to know how to use v...
