    Monitoring a switch

    I'm running Zabbix 2.2.6 on Ubuntu 14.04.
I'm monitoring a switch with template SNMP Network Device Interfaces. It works but I'm getting notifications every time a port changes state, up down.

Is there a way to turn off triggers for a host or prevent Zabbix from sending an email for this host?

There are 385 triggers and I don't see a way to disable them all at once.

    Thanks!

    Yes. See Zabbix actions

Btw, you can indeed disable many triggers in one run. See the combo-box at the bottom of Configuration->Templates/Hosts->Triggers.
Although for LLD created triggers this is not supported yet. See ZBXNEXT-821.

      Action

Thanks for the info. I created a device group for devices that don't require notifications. Added that to an action with <>. That should do the trick.

I looked for your other suggestion. The drop down menu for the triggers is grayed out and you can't use the check box next to the trigger.

I still would like to disable most of the triggers. That would keep the dashboard free from switch port issues.

I figured out how to disable the triggers.
        1. Disable the triggers in the discovery portion of the template
        2. Add a host and us the template.

The triggers are added to the new host but they are disabled.
