Move Zabbix database from on-premises to AWS RDS

    Good day,

I'm not sure if this the right forum but I have questions and was wondering if you can help me.

We want to move our Zabbix database from on-premises to AWS RDS and we want to know what are the specification required from Zabbix to continue with this? The engine on the on premise database is PostgreSQL 9.5 and which version you can recommended we move to and which tool we can use to move/migrate the database?

You can use pg_dump to export the db then pg_restore, both RDS Aurora and postgresql in RDS will work, the easiest is to move from 9.5 to 9.5 but if you want to migrate to 10 at the same time then you can find some information here https://www.postgresql.org/docs/9.0/migration.html

Hi, I'm also having issues connecting my server to a new Aurora RDS cluster. A summary of my setup:
      • The data was migrated from on premise MySQL (5.7) DB to the RDS cluster.
      • The server can reach the new RDS cluster
      • The server is not able to connect properly to the new endpoint, it seems to connect to the old endpoint. The configuration remains the same, only the endpoint has changed.
      • We are running Zabbix 4.4.8
      • I couldn't find anything useful in the logs, not even with debug on.
      • I can notice through a tcpdump the communication with RDS uses TLS1.2.
Does Zabbix 4.4.8 supports TLS connections with the DB? I'm new to Zabbix and not sure how to workaround this.

ok, I wasn't restarting php-fpm, so the front wont communicate to the new endpoint.
