Proxy checks when server is unreachable

Hello everybody,

Supposing that we have a Zabbix server with a Zabbix proxy and some agents.

If the server become unreachable, is the proxy continue checking something with his agents or not ?

For example, if we have an agent who checks some Windows service with automatic restarts of stopped services, is this check and restart will continue without the server ?
