How to monitor a company linux PC with zabbix?

Hi, guys,
Now I am studying zabbix , during my study I have encounterd a problem about monitoring hosts.The issue is that I have two linux servers, one is for zabbix server with public static IP , the other is for zabbix agent which has a private IP like 192.168.x.x/24. For my situation, could I use the zabbix server to moniter zabbix agent ? The topology is like that :
zabbix agent------Gateway-----Internet-----zabbix server
(192.168.x.x) (static public IP)
Can everyone give me the help , thank you in advance !

ps: Gateway do not support DNAT，but zabbix agent can access to zabbix server.

thats quiet easy, use you zabbix agent as active agent, then the agent ask the server what to monitor

Thank you for your reply, I think your advice is good for me .This morning, I tried to configure zabbix agent as active agent , but in the end I got a feedback from zabbix agent log said "no active checks on server [zabbix server IP:10051]: host [zabbix_agent] not found" . I took this confusion and checked on the configuration profile of zabbix_agentd.conf. Unluckly I didn't find something wrong because only two items were modified:
ServerActive=zabbix server IP
Hostname=zabbix_agent
At zabbix server browser web , I have enabled auto-registration. I also can see the host called "zabbxi_agent" was added to host menu , but the word "Z" 's color is red . What should I do at next step , does the auto-registration is necessary on my lab ?
