Cumulative network traffic

Trying to retrieve cumulative, sum of bandwidth usage.

This post https://blog.zabbix.com/zabbix-monit...xplained/9950/ shows how to sum incoming and outgoing traffiic, but it's not cumulative.

I don't need to sum both IN and OUT traffic. Let's say, I want to get all sum of out traffic, something like "sum=sum+last(net.if.out[ifHCOutOctets.$IF)"

How do I elaborate this on calculated formula?

Thanks. Looking at Graph I see data going down and up in the time line, as you mentioned. Now I am using calculated sum("net.if.out[ifHCOutOctets.$IF]",1d) to retrieve amount of previous day. Is that correct?

IIRC net.if.out already returns summarized number for that IF. Default template contains preprocessing for this "change per second", so you would get traffic per sec... but original data is just a growing number from IF stats... So no need to calculate anything
