    Zabbix version 2.0.3
    Host OS Ubuntu 12.04

    Hi,

    I'm working on a project where I need to deploy probes to a VM already being monitored by zabbix. There is already an agent running and providing monitoring data on this machine.

    I am trying to deploy another host in parallel, add an item (CPU load) and a very basic high and low trigger.

    The attached workflow logs succeed in displaying the triggers in the monitoring area, however when I examine the item there is no data populating the graph (picture attached).

    Have I missed anything noticeable with the host.create or item.create API calls?

    Is there a possible problem with having two hosts which are connected to the same agent?

    I'm also concerned it could be something to do with the agent configuration. This is something I haven't been involved in at all as I am piggy backing off of an existing monitoring arrangement.

    Any advice would be much appreciated. Thank you in advance for any feedback. I'm very new to zabbix (or anything like zabbix) so if there is a possible error that only a complete idiot would make then don't rule it out.

    Resolved

    This is resolved now. The error was the hostname specified in the agent config file not matching the newly created hostname.

      I have the same problem. However the item isn't a server, it's a switch. I could see that there is any data available, but it seemed not to have been forwarded to Zabbix. Any ideas how to solve this problem?
