I have one host which pulls data off some other hosts at a regular base. I need to monitor those other hosts from the host (call it the "data collector") point of view. So I want to have something like an icmp ping item where I can specifiy the remote host to ping and get the ping time as a float value. The result should be a graph showing the ping times from the data collectors point of view to the remote host.
Additionally it would be very important to have an trigger which fires if the data collector cannot ping to remote host. (ping timeout)
Any ideas? Please help! :-)
