    zabbix migration

    Hello,

I need to migrate zabbix from physical to virtual environment. I want to keep downtime to minimum so I figure out one idea.

Is is possible to have two zabbix apps, two zabbix databases and put in every zabbix agent config both servers? Goal of this idea would be having history and new data on the "old" server and only new data on "new" server.

    Is that possible?

    Hey Svetlana,

As long as both Zabbix servers are of the same version, you'd be able to point the virtual Zabbix installation to the database on the physical server.
That way, it doesn't matter which server the agents talk to, as it would be accessing the same database.

      there's gonna be two databases.

      physical db + physical app
      virtual db + virtual app

Can I put to agent config :

ServerActive = psyhical_app (pointing to physical db) and virtual_app (pointing to virtual db)

      ?

You are able to provide multiple Server and ServerActive addresses, separated by a comma.
