Install Zabbix Agent on Truenas

Can anyone please create a detailed guide on adding the zabbix agent to Truenas,
I tried following several guides, but they are missing some steps or something because the agent does not run.
can someone guide me to a detailed guide.

I am a newbie trying to achieve the same thing but expect that an appliance like TrueNas has locked down most traffic. That is standard security practice anyway. Having said that, with Zabbix being a 3rd party plug-in there may be some scope to find a way of punching through. May need to follow up with Zabbiz support here though as it is not officially/directly supported by TrueNas team. I have tried it using the plugin shell and creating firewall rules but the servie only showd active status for a minute or so. It was very hit and miss and if I remember correctly was sensitive to the templates that were selected. Havent tried the agent2 (GO version).

However we can still use good old SNMP and TrueNAS obviously prefer this as they allow for the service to be enabled on the GUI. You've probably seen this walkthrough https://www.truenas.com/community/th...enas-12.90319/
