    Discovering VMware maintenance mode

Hi all. First of all. i am very new to Zabbix, so please forgive me if i ask stupid questions :P

I have a large VMware environment which i need to monitor.

Can Zabbix discover of something has been set in Maintenance mode within the VMware vCenter and in that case ignore alerts coming from that entity?

It would be so nice if Zabbix could discover this and not react upon alarms coming from that host/datastore already in VMware Maintenance Mode etc. and not having the requirement to enable maintenance mode in multiple places.

Have anyone made any workarounds to solve this?

        Hi Cameron94.

Yes, but then I will have to activate maintenance mode two places... and deactivate it afterwards. .two places.. that is correct, right?

I would prefer if could get a way with just enabling maintenance mode one place and since i have to do this within VMware, manually doing stuff elsewhere just begs for problems

          Dear JesperA,

To my mind this solution is much more simple and it worth's the manual effort.
However, if you can search and find the parameter that shows when maintenance mode is active in VMware and define an item for that in Zabbix, then you can use that in a trigger condition to avoid unnecessary alerts.
