    Display Alerts on a webpage

    Hi Hope you canhelp

I am building a website to display our services and what i was looking to do was to use Zabbix to send alerts to the site to let people know if a service has dropped i have looked at other systems that can do it but i love that fact that i can host my own Zabbix server and keep everything in house

here is a link to a test i have done with another service but would love to do this with Zabbix so any help would be great

I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to accomplish ... zabbix web front end itself can be used with user accounts to limit view of hosts, etc. that people can see.

If you need zabbix to do more work in general but want to forward general status alerts to a central portal (say for management) there are 2 things you could look at.

First is the action type of external script. You can create triggers for the items of interest and then specific actions that will trigger an external script; a script which then posts the data where ever you would like it to be.

The other option is to look at the zabbix API and have your portal query zabbix for data.
