Hello,

I use self-registration to automatically trace the agents through the host meta data . But I think it is not very secure this method because the host meta data are visible on zabbix_agentd.conf.

Any ideas ?

If you are concerned about information in the linux agent configuration file, you could change the permissions of /etc/zabbix/zabbix_agent.d to be owner/group zabbix/zabbix with perms 770, and then run your agent under that ID as well. Other users of the system (other than root) would not be able to access it.
