Hide trigger in Monitoring -> Problems, but show on maps

    Hi,

maybe this use case is a bit odd, but a colleague asked me if the following is possible in Zabbix:

We have a bunch of hosts (~ 300) which are spread across multiple locations with sometimes quite unstable connections and also the devices are not so reliable. So basically some of them often come and go. This led to the issue that our problems page in Zabbix was flooded by those devices, so I simply disabled the trigger. Now the devices are not showing up on the Problem page anymore, but now inside the maps they are always shown as "OK". Now here is the question: Is it possible to filter them out on the Problems page, but keep them working normally on the map? The background is that we don't want to get notified every time something changes but we want to be able to quickly check in the maps if currently something is wrong.

I had some ideas on this, but none of them is ideal:
    1. Set the severity to informational and filter out informational triggers on the Problems page. I think that would work, but then we would also lose all the other informational triggers on the page.
    2. Use a tag on the trigger (e.g. "Do not show") and then filter out triggers with this tag on the problem page. Problem here is that Zabbix seems to allow only filtering for specific tags. So you can only show problems with a certain tag, but you can't hide triggers with a tag. That means we would need to create a tag "Show" and attach it to everything but the things we don't want to see. This could become a nightmare to maintain.
    3. Just put the hosts in question to maintenance mode all the time (with data collection). But I think this would also suppress issues on the maps, wouldn't it?
Is there any other clever way to solve this?

    Thanks
    Marco
