Anget deployment and PSK best practices
Hi there,
I'm using Zabbix since a couple of months now but my knowledge is still pretty "fresh"... so I still have a lot of questions!
A few are concerning the deployment of agents and PSK use.
Some key info about my setup:
- mixed environement : I've approx the same amount of Windows servers compared to Linux ones (CentOS) - 15+ each
- Linux server agents will update automatically as Linux is a bit more intelligent... Zabbix server included :-)
- I deployed all agents manually
- I deployed PSK for each agent, but out of knowledge, every single agent has a different PSK identity and key
--> Makes Windows updates quite tedious
So, what I would like to know to improve this is:
- Best practices of PSK ID and key (so a conceptual idea)
- For Windows admins, how do you deploy newer agents via GPO (it's my home lab, I don't use a software deployment)
- if you have some tips to start using the discovery, I'll welcome everything you'll give me.
