Hello,
Is there is a possibility to add an id string or password to the agent configuration before getting information out of a host, like the
community string in snmp? Or maybe use some kind of filter on the agent?
The reason is that our organisation wants 1 central zabbix server monitoring hosts through the Zabbix agent or SNMP.
This same server is shared to different working groups. Group administrators are configured as users with the admin profile in order to manage 'their' hosts.
I have applied host groups to hosts as well as to user groups. Tags are also applied to set up filtering in a multi-tenant way.
The restriction is that group A should not be able to configure monitoring the systems of group B or be able to add them, although there is visibility through the company network, monitoring shouldn't be possible through the central Zabbix server.
Maybe it's a bit complicated, but from the documentation and instruction videos I didn't find the solution to this.
Thanks Jay.
