Snmp problem

Good afternoon friends , made the implementation of zabbix in the company I work , I installed the server and agents , everything worked perfectly.
But I can not run SNMP, I have no idea can work this method of monitoring. it shows me the following error message:

timeout while connecting x.x.x.x.x to 161

The setup of SNMP with zabbix is not automatic or trivial. There is some documentation to follow and some learning. It might help if you indicated the Linux OS and zabbix version you have running.

Fundamentally you will need to load the necessary linux SNMP packages, possibly install some necessary MIBs, and then it will help to use the command line 'snmpwalk' command to make sure your devices are answering SNMP requests.
