    Zabbix 4.3 Query runs infinitely

    Dear All,

I am facing one peculiar problem in Zabbix as when the below query executes, it doesn't get complete and hung my problem table.

"select itemid, min( clock) from history group by itemid"

Not sure from where does this query generates, is it from Zabbix GUI or Zabbix custom dashboard?

    Any leads will be appreciated.

This seems like a query from the housekeeper process. Please check your housekeeper settings and log entries.

Indeed Glencoe , the query is from housekeeper process. I did check the GUI for housekeeping entries and made them same as of the other servers. But still the query comes in db.
We did kill the query from db but it again generates in 1-2 minutes.

Will this change in housekeeper configuration from GUI requires restart of Zabbix server?

It should be picked on the next config sync. You can also check zabbix_server.conf parameters for housekeeper. Those require restart if you need to change them though.

Ok..But when I made the changes first time and updated, it took it from GUI itself, no need to restart.
Anyways, thanks i will restart Zabbix server.

Glencoe Thanks a lot. You were indeed right. The query was running from housekeeping GUI only and now it has stopped.
