Recommended approach for new templates included in updates

Is there a better way to import the new templates that are included in the Zabbix versions as a Zabbix installation is updated?

The docs say they can be imported from the downloaded zabbix version, but I'm using yum to do the update so there's no download. I tried downloading the source from the website (the only download available) but it doesn't seem to have the described templates directory. The docs also mention importing directly from git, but I don't see the template I want to import.

I'm currently looking to use the "Systemd by Zabbix agent 2" template that was mentioned as a new feature/improvement in the release notes for 5.4.3, but this seems like its going to be a recurring task.

    Thanks
    Keith

Many people use modified templates and updating them with standard versions is a bad idea.

I figured that was the reason the templates were included in an initial install but not upgrades and that's understandable. I'm wondering how other people are adding in "new" templates that are part of releases, as the docs didn't seem to line up with what I was seeing.

I see. I was looking in the wrong place under the templates folder. You basically have to know where it is already, either where in the release notes or in the templates folder structure.
I have it imported and working now.
        Thanks!

i forced to install new zabbix server with each major update, just to get new templates.
its not only about how to get new one, but i failed to import some new templates at 5.4 which was released for 5.4. Maybe some global macro dependence dunno.
old templates already fully rewrited since 5.0 and using some outdated parameters.

at least it could be a interactive menu which ask you what to do, where merge conflicts, show the differenc
