    Documentation is lacking....

I'm trying to get Zabbix installed and setup. The steps to setup an agent say:

    6. Configure /etc/zabbix/zabbix_agent.conf You need to configure this file for every host having zabbix_agent installed. The file should contain IP address of ZABBIX server. Connections from other hosts will be denied. Note, that no end of line character should present in the file. You may take misc/conf/zabbix_agent.conf as example.

    7. Configure /etc/zabbix/zabbix_agentd.conf You need to configure this file for every host with zabbix_agentd installed. The file should contain IP address of ZABBIX server. Connections from other hosts will be denied. You may take misc/conf/zabbix_agentd.conf as example.
But aren't you only supposed to use one or the other? The steps are telling me to setup both. There are many other holes in the docs that leave me frustrated. Hopefully these will get ironed out so people don't get frustrated and just give up.

The docs say to always run zabbix is another user. But how do I do that? I've created a 'zabbix' user, but the zabbix documentation doesn't even give me a pointer in the right direction as far as finding out how to run the program as my new 'zabbix' user. I've read the man page on sudo, and tried starting zabbix with 'sudo -u zabbix service zabbix_agend', which prompts me for the zabbix user's password. The zabbix user doesn't have a password, and shouldn't as far as I'm concereded. Giving the account a password just makes one more place someone might be able to break in.

    Frustrating.

Edit - ok here's some more stuff I could use some help on. I'm trying to install the zabbix agent on a windows server. From the docs:

Installation is very simple and includes 3 steps: Unpack ZabbixW32.exe Create configuration file c:/zabbix_agentd.conf (it has the same syntax as UNIX agent). Run this command to install ZABBIX as a service. ZabbixW32.exe install
What is meant by 'unpack zabbixw32.exe'? I extracted it from the zip file, but then am I supposed to put it somewhere? I'm told to run 'zabbixw32.exe -install', does that then install zabbix somewhere, so I can then delete the zabbixw32.exe file that I 'unpacked'? Any help appriciated.

Thanks for your comment. Currently we are working on a new release of ZABBIX Manual and what you said is very valuable.
