    LLD Going crazy

    Hello everyone,
    How do I get rid of it?

    I want monitor only physical disk on this server, but it takes every mounted VHDX of user and create item of it and triggers it.

    Please help with this, I'm tired off already getting every minute msgs from system.
    Thanks!

    Hello. I guess you're using standard Windows by Zabbix agent template. Default discovery rule is using perf_instance.discovery key to get performance counters from object PhysicalDisks. Yep, it returns all disks it can find, excluding the "_Total", which represents counters for all disks. And there's 2 macros in this rule: {$VFS.DEV.DEVNAME.MATCHES} and {$VFS.DEV.DEVNAME.NOT_MATCHES}, which you can adjust to exclude from being discovered if you know names of disks which you need to monitor and which not. You can do that in template or per host basis.

      Thank for answer. Can you tell me how to make macros only for disk C?
      What value should be there?

    If you'll check your system monitor (available through MMC) and click on "Physical discs" category when adding new counter, you can see device names. Usually it's "0 C:", I guess 0 is partition number. So you can set your {$VFS.DEV.DEVNAME.MATCHES} macro to "^0 C\:$". If you're not familiar with PCRE syntax, there's some links in documentation to simple cheatsheets, but for shorts:
    ^ - start of the line;
    $ - end of the linke;
    \ - used for adding special symbols and treating some symbols literally.

    If you want to remove previously discovered disks, temporarily set "Keep lost resources period" to 0 in your discovery rules, then in case of active agents wait for 1 hour (discovery period) or in case of passive ones run the discovery rule manually, it will delete all disks except "0 C:". Then you can set period back to 30 days.
