Host availability based on SNMP traps.

    Hi all,

I need to monitor a host that has very severe hardening. The only way to monitor it is to collect SNMP traps.

Every 15 minutes the host sends a trap to say it is still alive... How can I configure the host availability based on this passive process?

    Zabbix version: 5.4.3

    Thanks in advance!

You can use the "nodata" function and fire the trigger when there is no trap data for more than 15 minutes.

Thank you for your valuable suggestion, it works!

I would love to be able to associate host availability with this trigger.

Is this possible? Or does it only work with active checks?

      Thank you
