    Hello all,

how can i modify / customize an Item to monitor wheter my POP and IMAP service are up? They are not on 143 and 110, but rather on 993 and 995.

    different ports

Net.tcp.service will monitor any port for any service that you wish. For example you can modify the keys in the items to be

    net.tcp.service[pop,,993]
    net.tcp.service[imap,,995]

I customize our ssh port and monitor it this way.

yeah really not; net.tcp.service[imap,,993] this will yield a 0 for not running. but if i telnet host 993 it does connect, as obviously there is something running on that port. can anyone give a tip why this isnt showing? net.tcp.service[smtp,,25] for example works fine.

          Hello!
          I have same problem:
I want to monitor pop3s and imaps services.
I creating a trigger with this expression: {mail.copmany.com:net.tcp.service[pop,,995].last(0)}=0
and getting error message "No such host (mail.copmany.com) or monitored parameter (net.tcp.service[pop,,995])".
That I doing wrong? Zabbix ver. 1.1.5
