Minimize the amount on alerts from Remote Site Hosts when having comms issue.
Hi Everyone,
I´m facing the following situation, I have a Zabbix 5.0.7 installation with hundreds of hosts scattered between 5 different sites, no proxies installed.
Every time I have an issue with the communication on any of the sites, every Trigger of every Host on that site will activate. To mitigate this, I setup a dependency for every trigger on the response of the host´s agent (did this on the different templates). This reduced the amount of trigger warnings but I still get at lease one per host in the event o a communication issue between sites.
What would be the best way to tackle this? If I install a Zabbix Proxy on every site (still have to learn how to do this, but I can learn), and config the corresponding hosts so the are monitored the the corresponding proxy, will this be the solution? Will I get only one alert if the proxy is out of reach?
