Clear a dashboard from API

Hi, I'm working on a tool that generates a dashboard for each application in our company through API.

Creating is working very good, but I have a problem with update. Is it possible to clear the dashboard from all the widgets through API? In the documentation I found only create/update options for widgets.
I know that I can delete it with API, but then the dashboard ID is changed.
