I am looking to use Zabbix to build up reporting items. Not to show current status but to report for instance number of minor outages in the last month - minor outage having a definition of down for 15 minutes or less etc.
I'm trying to see if this is possible to create a calculated item like this and seeing if anyone has had experience with doing this in Zabbix or perhaps Zabbix is not the right tool.
For example a simple date up/down (1/0) item that is monitored . I can easily get the average over last month which if below one certainly gives chatrandom an indication of how often it might have been down azar. BUT I would like to sum the number of incidents in a rolling month (possibly for specific months also) meeting certain criteria eg minor = 0 for 15 mins or less. major - 15 mins or more
