Server need a local psql server or can I just use a remote server?

I have downloaded and played around with Zabbix and have 2 machines with Zabbix-Agent.

I have setup the Zabbix fine and it is runing but I can't seem to add the 2 machines with the agent on.
Is this just me or is a local psql server needed? I can add the server but Zabbix cant see it even when I shorten
the discovery to 1m.

It is not necessary to install a PostgreSQL server as a monitoring target.
Check the log files of Zabbix server and Zabbix agent. I think that the information to identify the cause of why it cannot be monitored is output. Please tell us more specifically how you used it additionally.
