Hi all, new to Zabbix.. I was wondering if there is another method to placing hosts in Maintenance mode while performing patching? I do see the Maintenance scheduling option for reoccurring maintenance periods, but was looking for a way to select the hosts quickly and suppress problems until the patching has completed

If you don't want to use the web interface to create maintenance periods for hosts, then your other option is to develop your own scripts or tools that create maintenance periods via the Zabbix API.
Zabbix maintenance windows don't need to be recurring, they can be one-time. Of course, if you do all your patching during a predictable period that repeats on a regular basis, having a long-term recurring maintenance window that covers just the times when you *might* be patching hosts might be what you want.
