Monitoring host through dns and not through ip address

Hi, i'm trying to monitor host though my DNS Server but i just can't make it.

If i monitor the host through the IP Address, when this change, the host get unreacheable; ok, it seems logical.

But when i try to monitor the host through the DNS server, it get unreacheable anyway.

I hope someone has had the same trouble and could help me.

    Thanks and forgive my english.

    1 - try zabbix_get to test manually.

    Code:
    zabbix_get -s host(ip or name) -k"system.uptime"
name = hostname configured in the zabbix_agentd.conf

2 - Check /etc/resolv.conf to see if the dns was properly configured on zabbix server.
    Code:
    cat /etc/resolv.conf
    ; generated by /sbin/dhclient-script
    search mydomain.com.ar
    nameserver Ip_dns_server1
    nameserver Ip_dns_server2

3 - try "dig -x ip_host" to see if is a problem with dns reverse.(Looks weird, but already happened to me)
