Zabbix Server/Proxy docker poller process more then 75% busy - false alert

    Hey,

I have an environment with 1 server and 10 proxies running inside the following containers:
    • Server -
      HTML Code:
      https://hub.docker.com/r/zabbix/zabbix-server-mysql
    • Proxy -
      HTML Code:
      https://hub.docker.com/r/zabbix/zabbix-proxy-mysql
    Version: ubuntu-5.4-latest
Since I installed the environment I'm getting an alert that the poller process is busy
Zabbix poller processes more than 75% busy
and it stand at 100% all the time.
No agents are assign for monitor just the proxies themselfs.

I have look at the process itself
ps -ef | grep zabbix_server | grep proller
and I can see that the process is doing NOTHING.

    Any ideas?

** The server and proxies are running inside a container **

Where did you execute the ps command? Did you execute on the Zabbix server container and see the processes inside the container?

        Yes,
I'm getting the same results inside and outside the container due to the fact that I'm running the container with pid=host.

          As posted here:

It seems that it not a good idea to monitor the zabbix proxy processes using the server it self.
I have changed it and it seems that the problem resolved - at least at this end.

I'm still having an issue at the Server itself that showing 100% data poller utilization.

The issue with the server resolved once the proxy started to monitor themselves.
        Working...
