Is there any utility that would let me to query monitoring item on remote zabbix_agentd? I need that to test items and also to import data in some other 3-d party applications.

Right now i use nagios_nrpe for that but its a waste of resources knowing that zabbix agent can be doing that as well.

ZABBIX get - Communicate with ZABBIX agent v1.1.2 (19 July 2006)
usage: zabbix_get [-hv] -s<host name or IP> [-p<port number>] -k<key>
Options:
-p --port <port number> Specify port number of agent running on the host. Default is 10050.
-s --host <host name or IP> Specify host name or IP address of a host.
-k --key <key of metric> Specify metric name (key) we want to retrieve.
-h --help give this help
-v --version display version number

Example: zabbix_get -s127.0.0.1 -p10050 -k"system[procload]"
