    Active agent remote external IP address

    Hi all,

    Is there any way to find the external remote IP address of an active zabbix agent?

    We have a situation where we're trying to find a stolen laptop which is being monitored by Zabbix. If we can find the remote IP address we can pass this to the the police.

    Presumably, the zabbiz server must have the active agent's public/external IP address available during communication, but I can't see anywhere to expose this within zabbix configuration.

    On using active agent setup agent is connecting to srv/prx to ask about what needs to be monitored over agent and to push data to srv/prx.
    What you've described above it is passive setup.

      The agents run with config similar to
      ServerActive=zabbix.bla.com
      They are definitely running active mode.

      When the agent initiates TCP connection with the server/proxy, the server will know the remote IP as part of the TCP connection protocol. So, the remote IP is available at the server, though I guess accessing it probably doesn't fit very well with the design of zabbix.

      It would be great it this address could be made available somehow.
