We are using Zabbix 5.4.1 and we have made some maps, but our icons are not changing state if a warning or a problems occurs if we use a host group in a higher level.
Before explaining the problem i would like to give some information how we setup our icons.
We have our customer in hostgroups and subdivided hostgroups for the locations. In each location we have some hosts which are being monitored.
Lets say we have a host groups called: "Zabbix" and "Zabbix/LocationA" and "Zabbix/LocationB". We have made a Map element to monitor the location and should change icon color incase something is triggered.
Currently "Zabbix/LocationA" has hosts with "PROBLEMS" active with "Severe" states. If we set the host group to "Zabbix" on the map, the icon on the map stays green. However, if we set the icon on the map on hostgroup "Zabbix/LocationA", then the icon changes to red. We would like to see the total problems on the underlying host groups under 1 icon.
Does someone know how help us fix this issue? Thanks!
