I have been using the old template "Template OS Linux" with some slight modifications since Zabbix 3.0 and I am looking at replacing it with the newer Linux by Zabbix agent template.
If I do a simple unlink on the old template and add the new I will need to manually remove some aspects such as the graphs to get it working at all and when it is done I will still be left with all the old items and trigger leaving many with the same function.
However, if I chose unlink and clear I will not only lose all old data, doing it on too many hosts at once will definitively create a huge load on the database.
Is there any good way to migrate from the old Linux OS template to the new? With for example the server template it is a lot easier to update from an old version to the new.
