I'm still in the process of learning Zabbix, and after following along with a few guides I found, I've managed to get Zabbix 5.4 to automatically grab all the hosts and guests from my lab vCenter instance. Now, all the hypervisors and guests are showing in hosts list within Zabbix, but show a greyed out ZBX icon. I have not installed zabbix-agent on the vmware guests.
I suppose what I was expecting was Zabbix to use it's vCenter connection to gather data about the guests, then apply common triggers and graphs to them, without the agent being required.
Right now, this is me testing on my home lab, with about 15 VMs, but once I get this nailed down, I'll be rolling it out at work, with about 450 guests. I would rather not have to install the agent on every guest...
Thanks!

- In the Host list, the Graphs link is greyed out, yet looking in the Latest Data for each host, there is plenty of data and lots of individual graphs. What's the best way to pull all of these graphs into the VMWare template?
- There are almost no triggers defined this way. Am I going to have to manually create triggers? I was kind of hoping there'd be the 'common' triggers (low disk space, memory usage, CPU, etc)
- Is it just easier to go around installing and configuring the zabbix-agent on all hosts? It seems somewhat redundant.
Thanks!
