Zabbix add 100+ comuter ad once

Hello

i'm working in a company and my Boss wants me to monitore all computer in our network. The task is to ping the computer and see which is still running and if someone after work may forgott to shut it down. I only know how to add over 100 manualy takes time, so i asked myself if it is possible to do a net view in zabbix or find a better solution. I thought about to write a script in shell do a net view and save it as xml and then import the file in zabbix but it doesnt work well.

Does anyone know a solution?

I know now how to Configure a Discovery but it means i need to creat the hosts right? or it will check the network by itself and ping the compurer in the company?

Hi,

In the documentation there is even a practical example how to configure discovery and appropriate actions to add hosts to monitoring.

Once you have the hosts monitored you can ping them. If you can install Zabbix agent on the monitored hosts then you can even shut down the computers automatically after working time with help of remote commands in Zabbix.
