manually start of discovery

I have some discovery rules for e.g. Cisco Router Interfaces.
I will not Auto discover the Interfaces so often, so I do it every 6 hours.

If I add a new host, which is linked to this discovery rule, it would be nice if I can start the discovery manually, cause I don´t want to wait 6 hours in the worst case.

So any idea, how I can do this ?
Or is there a Option, that new added Hosts will be discovered direcly ?

Hi,

I'm afraid that is not really possible. Either decrease those 6 hours to 1 hour maybe or wait up to 6 hours. Forced polling of items or discovery rules is not currently supported in Zabbix.

Yes, there are such plans but that will not happen in upcoming 3.0.
