    Help in creating triggers for Windows service monitor

    Hi Experts,

    I need some help in creating the triggers for monitoring the windows service . I have created an item for SNMP service monitoring but got stuck in creating the trigger. From what I could understand from the help manuals is that the trigger is : {<server>:<key>.<function>(<parameter>)}<operator> <constant>.

    But I am not able to find how to create the trigger for alerting when the SNMP service on the server stops.

    Hello and welcome to Zabbix forums!

    Please check the documentation for triggers. You will find lots of useful tips there.

    Your trigger expression would look something like this:
    Code:
    {host_or_template_name:service_state[snmp].last()}<>0
    That trigger will alert if snmp service is not in state 0 - running.

    Don't forget to change the host or template name accordingly.

    And would be great if you told or included in your screenshots the version of Zabbix, because e.g. trigger expression syntax might be different on various versions of Zabbix. I provided you the expression for Zabbix latest 2.4.

    Hope this helps!

    Best Regards,
    Ingus
